Belated b'day gift for Pip!

It's way way belated - like TWO years! I know, it's crazy... Apologies to my niece, Fifah a.k.a. Pip! Anyway, it's done now - well, partially... this is just a sketch, the next phase is to ink and colour it. I'm not sure when I'll get the chance to do that, which is why I decided to post the sketch first. I hope Pip likes it, not sure if she's seen it yet. I'm happy with the outcome, since it's been a while since I last drew anything - rusty, rusty, this took me almost two hours! O.o

Illustration: Ein gutes neues Jahr!!!

I had a bit of time today, so I decided to do a quick CG illustration for the new year! Thanks to Fifah, I'm more encouraged to do CG works. So with this greeting card, I'd like to wish all my family and friends a happy new year! Lots of love and plenty of best wishes to all!

And with that, I have beaten my October posting record of 14!!! So now I'm off to play some fireworks and then enjoy a midnight celebratory meal (it's laksa, yummy!), courtesy of my mum! ;D I bid you all and the year 2007 adieu!!! [muah]

Ship Ahoy!

The friday before last, one of my good friends in my German class (Bekir) surprised with this miniature model ship. It took him a week or so to make, three hours a day. He actually started making model ships/boats just a few months back - I'm impressed at his talent! To give you an idea of how big (or more correctly, small) this model is, the height of the ship is exactly 15 cm. The two hemispheric-shaped parts under the ship are actually walnut shells, hehe! The Brunei flag is a print, he tried to draw it himself but it was too difficult because of its small size.

He also made one for himself and another for our other friend, Wojtek. He's also working on a bigger model ship for his wife. It's amazing how patient he is with this hobby. The ship he made for me actually fell and broke into many pieces the night before he gave it to me. If it was me, I'd have given up already, haha! ;D Anyway, I want to say again to Bekir:
