Photos: Das Mittagessen!

Haha, that's means lunch in German. I promised my classmates and teachers in inLingua lunch (cooked by my mum, of course - her cooking is exquisite!) at my home if I managed to pass my Ph.D. viva (syukur alhamdulilah, I did!). In the first photo, standing from left to right are Bekir, Alex, Firyuza, Patricia, Katja (teacher), Nebahat, Claudia (teacher), Auntie Zaitun (one of the diplomats' wife), Katerina, Vladimir, me and my mum, and sitting from left to right are Alex (Katerina's husband), Wojtek, Wisanapat and Teranun. A few people were also away that day. Anyway, I think everyone really enjoyed the food (Vielen Dank, mum!).

Photos: Liza's visit to Berlin!

Right, finally got round to posting that back log of photos that I mentioned in my previous blog. Anyway, after my viva in June, Liza (who's like a sister to me!) decided to come visit me and my parents in Berlin. So we did the usual sightseeing of the city as well as areas in Potsdam and Hamburg. I'm just going to post some photos from her visit, again there may be a few (more like the majority!!!) which you've seen in my previous posts - sorry! However, for the Sans Souci photos, the significant difference is the fact that it's now greener because of the warmer weather, the grapes have sprouted from the vines. It was already beautiful in winter but in summer, it's amazing!!! Liza and I also managed to catch a horse show called "Cavalia" - got free tickets, haha! Anyway, the other photos were taken in the Pergamon Museum, the East Side Gallery (Si Jun perasan ianya COOL - see photo, haha!) and the Marx-Engels Forum.

Finally, the last photo was actually on my current favourite photo for a while. I think they're so retro, despite them being priceless ancient jewellery showcased in the Pergamon Museum, haha!

And that stands for... ASEAN, haha! Yeah, I'm back in the lands of the Association of South-East Asian Nations! Just arrived in Singapore today and will be staying for two days before heading back to Brunei! I have to admit, the trip has been quite eventful so far - the three B/C seats given to my parents and I on the flight from Frankfurt to Singapore had malfunctioning entertainment systems (Dad was so bored!), the wire for my braces came apart (lucky there was a good dental clinic near the Hyatt! If you need emergency dental treatment whilst in Singapore, go to the 13th floor of the Paragon Medical Centre on Orchard Road, haha!), had a nose bleed (thank god I was at the hotel room by then!), my mobile phone (both German and Irish) has no reception, pulled a muscle near my right hip joint... hmmm, I think that's it! Fortunately, things started to be better after that, went shopping (how am I going to bring the stuff back!!!), ate lots of Asian food, plenty of cuci mata (oriental guys are sooo bishie!)! Anyway, just wanted to give a little update! I've a back log of posts (sorry!!!), including:
